Biography:
Kimberly Lovie Murdaugh is a physician–scientist and filmmaker whose work integrates clinical imaging, autotheory, and multimodal visual practice. She studied chemistry at Harvard College, earned a master’s degree in Engineering Sciences from Harvard University, and completed her medical degree at Yale School of Medicine. She lives and works in New York City.

Murdaugh and her partner Ian B. Kwok were featured in the Met's Costume Art campaign (2026), an exhibition whose concerns — how artists cope with bodily change through costume art — run throughout her own work.
